ANGEL CAMACHO publishes its second Sustainability Report

ANGEL CAMACHO recently published its second Sustainability Report, which sets out the main results of its economic, social and environmental efforts during 2014 and 2015.

The aim of this second report is to outline in a coherent and attractive manner the efforts made to ensure responsible management of our business, thereby reinforcing the company's long-term business vision and consolidating its strategic objectives, as well as fostering a culture of responsibility in all our different departments.

As in the first report, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards have been applied to add further value to the report and facilitate comparison with other organisations. When preparing and defining the content, we have focused on critical aspects of our activity and the main stakeholders involved, without forgetting key areas such as company strategy, the supply chain, ethics and integrity and the surrounding environment.

The Report essentially reflects the activities of ANGEL CAMACHO ALIMENTACION, although data has also been included for the Group as a whole in certain sections in order to provide a global overview of the company.

The Sustainability Report 2014-2015  analyses in depth the company's focus on sustainable development in three areas: economic actions with a long-term approach; social sustainability actions which add value to the local community; and environmental sustainability through effective and innovative management of resources.

Important aspects covered include the company’s emphasis on balanced and profitable growth based on continuous improvement of products and processes, solid commercial capabilities and stable and mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers. It also highlights the company's commitment to management of human resources and outlines the social actions implemented as part of its commitment to local society.

There is also a detailed analysis of the company's environmental policy established in 2005, which is based around an environmental management system certified according to the ISO 14001:2004 standard. The report also offers an overview of key environmental performance indicators in areas such as water, energy and solid fuel consumption, waste generation and biomass consumption.

The content consists of clear and simple descriptions and includes highly visual graphics and resources to emphasise the most interesting and attractive information, enabling its use for corporate communications purposes. An executive summary of the Report has also been published for distribution to our customers, employees, shareholders and other stakeholders.
